Get Wet.
(Wake surfing, as I am doing above is when you ride 1-4 feet behind a ski boat on a small surf board and eventually toss the tow rope into the boat and ride the wake. It takes some time to get the hang of but its addicting as chocolate cover espresso beans. Shannon rocks out on the surf board too but I have not scrambled up any pictures of her yet....they are easier on the eyes than mine.)
The past few weeks off of racing have also been great for catching up on not waking up till 11:00am and doing other fun things in life you miss while on the road and bike. I have started getting ready to head back to Durango for school and to begin the collegiate mountain bike season which has just under 20 individual races, XC and short track.
I have started spending more time on the mud bike preparing for the season, yesterday our shop had a sweet four hour mountain bike ride on the Womble trail near Mt. Ida, AR.
I talked to Leana Gerrard today, she just competed in the Jeep King of the Mountain in Utah. She is all big time now so watch out for the event on CBS on August 18th, times unknown.
I read a quote today: "Bond's relaxed before historic bid." I mean, I would be relaxed too if I showed up to the SAT's with the answer key on my desk but the perfect score would still be legitimate. AGGGGGHHHH........
