Two time trials in two hours. Sonic hamburger to finish.
It came down to tonight, Schmidty and I, best friends had to battle it out to see who would ride in the team time trial at collegiate nationals. We both already made the team going to Kansas, one would ride the road race and the other the team time trial, whoever was fastest tonight rode the TTT. So its not like anyone actually looses. We rode out to the start together to race the Dead Elk for those who know. I went first, him four minutes behind. It was a small tailwind on the way out and a small headwind on the way back in the loop of rolling hills. I did a time of 28:05 and Schmidty did a 28:31. We both rode our heart out and had personal best times, part due to the awesome conditions. I also managed to set a new fastest time out of everyone for the year. There have been about six of these races. Good work Schmidty, we are gonna rock nationals in every disipline.After dropping by Bread and getting a cookie thanks to Jared I rolled home, put on my mountain bike shoes and went straight to the Telegraph hill climb Cheeny was putting on for his Durango Devo Team. My legs burned so bad on this one and I really didn’t feel anything special coming out of it. Ended up second behind Greg Lewis who got me by almost a minute. Cheeny really knows what he is doing with these future superstars, they all raced with up to THREE hamburgers each in their jerseys to enjoy afterwards. I gotta thank Chenny for hooking me up with one too. Those guys are all so cool and not to mention smoking fast. At this rate, in 8-10 years Durango’s population of elite cyclist will double and may include world cup winners.
Oh yea, I’ve been so busy I forgot to mention, SCHOOLS OUT FOR THE SUMMER!
One more thing, there will be a BBQ at my house on Thursday April 26th at 5:30. Bring your own meat, meat accessories and drinks. We supply the grill, a few plates, badminton, and a good ole time. Britney Spears called today and said she was coming too. Thanks for reading, Noah
