Unreal. My first ever CD was Michael Jackson History, double disc set that my dad bought me. You will be missed.

To break the seriousness. This if from The Onion: Last piece of Michael Jackson Dies was headline yesterday.

Last week there was an absoultely beautiful shower for Shannon and I. Hosted at the home of Mike and Beth Coulson, along with our great friends Barbara Graves and Barry McDaniels. They have always been extremely nice to our family, and that was shown to everyone in attendance.

Shannon and I are in Fayetteville for a three day weekend. Her friend Kati is getting married on Saturday. Shannon is a brides maid and gets to do all the fun stuff that goes along with that. I get to do fun things to like mountain bike and kayak at Lake Fayetteville, then join in for the rehearsal dinner at Theos. Congratulations Jeff and Kati! I will bring my notepad, Shannand and I get hitched in just four months.

I was excited to get a new iPhone today. Well, really just update my existing one to 3.0, but the updates always feel like a new phone. I should be careful what I wish for. I did get a new phone but in a beatup old body. iTunes thought it would throw me for a loop and totoally restore my phone to factory settings. Then I used the backup copy to get it back to normal, but it forgot all of my 3rd party applications. This new cut/paste/copy feature better be better than and iced mocha with a scoop of gelato inside (ZaZa).

I don't claim to be a top 100 Twitter'r by any means. But when people use their updates to say "driving" or "working out" or "taking a dump" this is when I unfollow them. Just shut up... or compile all of your lame Tweets into one jumbled up one like "out driving taking a working dump".

If your not doing it already, follow my Twitter account for work. You will get huge deals like 50% on things that are never even 30% off. @compcyclistroad and @comcyclistmtb

Billy Mayes just came on TV.

We finished up the 4th and final round of the Ronde van Burns crit series on Wednesday. Competitive Cyclist's own Zach Martin powered to the win and overall series victory. Sam Keesler was 2nd that day, and 2nd overall for the series. I ened up 3rd in the series and 4th that day after jumping away from the field with four laps to go, chasing down the Heiniken Keg Can preme, bingo. Also, I want to give HUGE props to the guys coming down from Jonesboro each week to keep it fast. My buddy Michael (Trent) Talley and I had a personal sportmanship rivalry each preme lap of each race. We literally would look at each other in the eye and start laughing, waiting for the first attack from one another. I am not afraid to admit it, I never passed him for a win. Never, he has tree trunk legs. A few times I got the jump early and earned a preme, but if he jumped first I off his wheel like a dress on prom night. Thanks for the good clean fun Trent, and enjoy your BMC Swiss Technology belt!

Does anybody have a kayak for sale? I am really itching to somehow get a playboat, creek boat or something slightly larger in volume. Give me a shout, especially if you need bike stuff so we can work something out.
