Finally an update! I just moved into a new place in Durango and were still working on getting the Inter-Web hooked up. So the biggest news first, Shannon and I bought a house in Little Rock, Hillcrest to be exact. After graduation in December I will return to Little Rock and begin my full time position at Competitive Cyclist. just got a new pair of double-kneed Carhartt's which will be put to work during my Thanksgiving break, while I paint, improve and build onto the new house.
Right now Shannon is trying to find a lab puppy so if anyone has leads shoot me an email.
Now I'm on the way to Collegiate Track Nationals in Colorado Springs. Yea, I am somehow racing on the Velodrome at the top level with just 2 weekends of practice under my belt, it should be interesting. I will be racing the 1K, 3K Individual, 3K Team pursuit (team time trial) and Italian Pursuit (6 person co-ed time trial). Overall we have a really solid team to compete in all the events, and we hope to improve on our 3rd place overall at last years Nationals in San Diego. Last night the President of Fort Lewis College, Dr. Brad Bartel spoke to our cycling team. It was an honor to have him speak and give us some serious motivation so we can perform up to his expectations from here on out.
When not taking left hand turns my two days of actual class allow lots of time to ride my new Ventana mountain bike. My MTB season officially begins the day after track nationals. I will once again try for the National mountain bike team for Fort Lewis College.
