Mount Gaylor Time Trial

(Here I'm suffering on the new top of the line carbon fiber Cervelo with the bottom of the line aluminum time trial bars I made from a trip to the neighborhood Ace Hardware)

***update as of 4/28/08: After three (3) requests, Mercy decided not to post my new team in the official results. Pretty funny, they also thought I retired. Thanks guys, and for the fourth time its Kahala/LaGrange.

It was a busy weekend with the Aquaduct team, full of meetings, presentations and press releases with the likes of the Discovery and Travel channels. The team had fun showing the bike at Earth Day and hearing quality feedback.

Shannon, my dad and I then shot up to Fayetteville for my first actual race if the year. It was a 9.5 mile hill climb, which simulates the Tour of the Gila TT next week, so it was perfect prep. My power numbers were pretty solid with an average 375 on all the inclines, then the little roller descents brought the over all down just a bit. I ended up the "first loser" behind Will Gault of the Tulsa Wheelmen by a minute twenty-five. I did it in 31:00 flat. Shannon and my dad drove the team car and took the sweet pics. Next up I fly to New Mexico on Tuesday for the Tour of the Gila, from that point on I'm racing 14 of the next 20 days. 'Tis the season of tan lines and 5,000 calorie meals.

(Looks like I'm working against the natural elements judging by the direction I'm head)

(Well I finally have a picture to prove my work at Tour of Flanders in Belgium. Oh, and those socks were bleach white when the day began. Dude, that day sucked)
