Birthday present to my self.
I don't know if I have mentioned it but the area is dead flat! The one good thing that has come out of that is my directional advantage. The area is covered with huge fields and farms, so there are distinct silo's every now and then. It seems there is a silo every 3-5 miles so I can just kinda leap-frog from one to the next and work my way back home in the same manner. Today I did this and ended up with a 40 mile ride through the country side.
I did a quick Google search on Tour de France routes from the past few years, hoping to find something nearby I could ride. Well, wouldn't ya know that I am in the area that they use for a travel day, yea they fly over this part and continue at the bottom. La Rochelle is pretty much directly under the little plane on the left side of the map below. Ha, oh well.

Have a nice day.
