I've crested the hill of finals week and am coasting down the backside with just a few turns to go. Today was pretty crazy; after spending six hours in the computer lab and correcting a major grading flaw by one of my professors at 2:30pm I finally made it back home for my first crumble of food of the day, then went straight onto the bike to get in a ride with Dekrey. We rode the Cliffs, those in Durango know it, for those in Arkansas it's best describe as Mt. Nebo's twin brother. I felt pretty poopy the whole way up, but thats what I get for not getting a solid ride over the past four days.
During the first warm-up lap of yesterdays cross race I rolled my tubular tire off the rim while bunny hopping a barrier and had to walk home. I think I rode a total of 10 minutes. Come to think of it, 2 of the past 2 days my brand new Shimano carbon shoes have spent more time walking than pedaling, lets hope that passes before the big race next weekend.
