I had a five minute warm-up for the race this morning, wasn't the best
feeling in the lungs. I think it was about 30 degrees. German Ben took
off like a bat outta hell, never to be touched again. I worked my way
into second and held it, but Trevor Downing was closing in fast with a
CSU rider. When I came across the line for second I made sure to do
the double gun solute, with three cups of drool swinging from my
grill. 1-2 for Durango. CSU was 3rd and Trevor 4th.
