(After sticking to my diet for five weeks prior to this race, I was finally able to splurge and get their Coconut meringue pie)

Thats a wrap.....
The 24 kilometer time trial was on Friday and yes most of us felt the fatigue from the previous days 85 mile effort. The course is actually to short according to USA Cycling official rules (a National Championship time trial must be between 30 and 50 kilometers) but somehow they ran it anyway. I felt pretty good about half way through and on the slight climbs but for some reason could not push a hard gear on the downhills and into the very hard headwind. The course was an out and back, out and back. Yes you make it back to the finish and repeat, weird. Anyway my time of 32:20 was good enough for 38th place. Not what I had expected after countless hours on the TT bike this year but some days you got it, some days you don't. I will be back for more.
I want to give a huge thanks to Competitive Cyclist who was my title sponsor for this entire weekend and the Cervelo time trial bike. Their support and friendship has always been exceptional.
